Position: Middle/High School
Spanish/Language Arts Teacher
(Must be qualified for both positions)

Hours: Full Time School Year Position

Qualifications: Qualifications: Current Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate with majors or minors in Spanish (FF) and English (BA). The successful candidate must meet NCLBA “Highly Qualified” requirements (as
defined by ESEA) and demonstrate the knowledge, abilities and attitudes to effectively teach Spanish and English to Middle and High School students with varying academic abilities.

The successful candidate must also be able to:

•Motivate students to engage in meaningful learning activities

•Make commitment and show ability to work effectively as a member of the MS/HS teacher team

•Demonstrate knowledge of the PC computer

•Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with parents

•Exhibit exemplary work ethics and integrity

•Meet fingerprinting/criminal records background check requirements

•Meet "Bloodborne Pathogens" training requirements

This position is available for the 2008-09 school year.
