Treasurer: Constance Dzedzie

I have served on the Board since 2002. My current term expires in 2010. During my tenure on the Board of Education I have served as a trustee and as treasurer for 5 years. I serve on committees such as Finance, Negociation and Personnel, Middle School Improvement Team and District School Improvement Team.

I live in Center township. I attended North Central Michigan College and have been married to my husband, Joe, for 23 years and we have 2 children. Our son, Derrick graduated from Pellston High School in 2007. He is now going to school in Indianapolis at Lincoln Institute of Technology for body collision. Our daughter Katie, is 16 years old and currently in the 10th grade here at Pellston. She is on the varsity volleyball team and also plays softball and basketball.

The reason I serve on the Board of Education is to make sure Pellston students have a great school to attend and one of which they can be proud, every day!

One of my greatest achievements, so far, was being involved in the elementary school renovation project, which was completed in a very timely manner. I'm rather proud of this because I designed the grounds of the elementary school and with the help of many other people completed the project.

My greatest challenge while serving on Pellston Public Schools' Board of Education has been balancing the budget every year, while trying to keep everyone happy. On a positive note, we have balanced the budget and continue to see the great students who have graduated from Pellston Public Schools and gone on to be productive citizens!

My personal interests include keeping my husband and kids happy.
