Community Education Classes
March and April 2008
Harmony Yoga:
Come and join this on going, year round class and build
a lifetime of health, flexibility and well being. You
will learn yoga postures and breathing techniques designed
to exercise every part of your body. This practice will
stretch and tone muscles, improve flexibility and build
strength in muscles, bones and joints. The practice
of yoga can renew your energy and begin to teach you
how to consciously relax, slow down and experience a
true sense of well-being, health and vitality.
Thursday’s 6:00 – 7:15p.m. In the
Great Room at the Pellston Elementary. $72 for 6-week
session. One can join up at any time. Wear comfortable
clothes. Bring a yoga mat and a blanket. Any questions,

Beginning Jewelry Making:
Learn the art of jewelry making by using basic wire
bending and beading techniques. Each person will make
their own necklace and gain familiarity with jewelry
making tools. Supplies are included. $20 per person.
Sat. March 15, 10:00 – 1:00p.m. High School
Art Room.
Woodworking:
Grab your materials and come ready to build! Use of
the High School Woodshop equipment and instruction from
a knowledgeable instructor is what you can expect from
this class. Participants need to bring their own materials.
This is a 6 week session and the cost is $60 per person.

15, 22, & 29, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. High School
Woodshop.
Computer Basics:
Think you can’t handle the “Computer age”?
Well you can with this class! Geared for beginners,
this class will teach you the basics of computers with
“hands on” instruction. $15 per person.
Tuesday, March 18, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Middle
School Computer Lab.
Silk Flower Arranging:
Grab those flowers that you have always wanted to arrange
and come to this one night class. Learn techniques to
arrange your silk flowers to create lovely centerpieces
and more. Bring three different types and/or colored
flowers and the container you want to arrange them in.
$10 per person.
Thursday March 20, 6:30 – 8:30p.m. High
School Commons.
The Internet
and You:
Learn how to “surf and net” and find what
you are looking for as well how to send and receive
emails. This class is designed for people who already
have basic computer knowledge or who have taken the
Computer Basics Course. $15 per person.
Tuesday, March 25, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Middle
School Computer Lab.
Digital Photos:
Have you been saying to yourself, “I have all
these digital pictures, now what?” This class
will teach you how to attach pictures to email, edit
pictures and more. This class is designed for people
who already have basic computer knowledge or who have
taken the Computer Basics Course. $15 per person.
Tuesday, April 15, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Middle
School Computer Lab.
Registration
1. The “Registration Deadline” for each
class is one week before the start date of the class.
2. You may register by calling 231-537-2807 or by emailing
smeccampbell@yahoo.com.
Give your contact information (name, address, telephone
number, and e-mail address if available) and the title(s)
of class(es) you are registering to take.
3. The registration is considered “Tentative”
and not “Confirmed” until your payment is
received in the Superintendent’s Office, either
in person or by U.S. Postal Service mail addressed to
Pellston public Schools, Attention: PCE, 172 N. Park
St., Pellston, MI 49769-9400.
4. Checks should be made out to “Pellston Public
Schools”.
5. Payments are refundable up until the registration
deadline, so register early!
6. Classes may be canceled due to low registration.
Refunds will be given and participants will be notified
if this happens.
7. For classes scheduled in the Middle/High School Building,
please enter using the door by the Superintendent’s
Office (Elm Street).
8. For Classes in the Elementary building, please use
the main entrance (by the flag pole).
9. If Pellston Public Schools are closed due to weather
etc. the Community Education Classes scheduled for that
day will be closed.
